Living close to Hung Hom

We are soon to move to Hong Kong and will be working mostly in Hong Hum. Any ideas for suitable areas to live that will keep the commute reasonably short?
(1/2 hour ok, 40 minutes + would not be good)

Also, can anyone tell me how long it takes by busy from Repulse bay to central (on average)?

Thanks in advance.

Children

I should add that we have two small children...8 months and 3 years old. Won't need schools or child care initially, but in about a years time.

Hung Hom?

Remember, typing and drinking don't mix.

I'm not so familiar with the area, but the comments at the end of the following post have some recent suggestions about accomodation in Hung Hom: http://www.batgung.com/where

Hung Hom, hom Hung ?

I was told by someone who lived in HK for a few years that it was spelt Hom Hung, but spoken Hung Hom...or maybe the otherway around...i'm confused. Any truth in that ?

Anyway, the link you posted results in a 'page not found'.

Thanks for you time. :-)

You say potato ...

I'd stick with Hung Hom for sound & spelling, but converting chinese sounds into abc is a bit of a guess at the best of times.

See, told you drink & typing don't mix!! I've fixed the link.

Cheers, MrB

I'm live in Hung Hom

Hung Hom is under the district of Kowloon City. Normally, the mostly likely Japanese and Korean live in Whampao Garden and some others live in Hung Hom Bay Garden.

It was a good place for primary school, contains 4 different type of primary school in here. Even kindergarten has 3 or 4 different culture in here.
