There is an unused and unwanted Boeing 747 aeroplane sitting on the tarmac at Hongkong International Airport. The airport authority wants to get rid of it and we would like to sink it in HK waters as an artificial reef and scuba diving site.

There are a few resources that might help:

The Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia, ARSBC, have successfully turned an old 737 into a reef.
The Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission publishes a book of Guidelines for Marine Artificial Reef Materials, which has a chapter discussing experiences of using aircraft as artifical reefs.
And for the tricky part of getting the plane to the dive site, it might be worth giving this man a call.
