Hi!!

I recently got into HKBU on a research studentship. and will be arriving in HK in September 2010.I will be getting around HK$13k per month out of which up to 6k will be for the accommodation and tuition.

I was going through your articles on the cost of living and most of them seem geared towards a family unit. Could you give me an idea what is the average cost of living for a student or a single person on a budget?? (i'm not one for drinking or clubbing!!)

Also could you let me know the rules for smoking in HK?? is it permitted in public places or a strict no-no??
