Work visa appeal

Hello,

Apologies if this is something discussed earlier....

I have just been refused a work visa on the usual grounds - no special contribution and preference for a local hire... My sponsor is appealing the decision and I would like to ask how does the process look, as there seems to be very little information about this. Is it a repeat of the process?

Has anybody been through the process ? With success, hopefully...

I greatly appreciate any help...

I've not been through the visa rejection process but I read (either on this board or another expat forum like geoexpat) that if you're rejected and merely submit the same application, you'll be rejected again. Your employer has to show proof of (further) attempt(s) to hire locally and a failure to do so (no qualified local candidates available). They then apply again in the same manner as the first time but with updated documentation.
